Astou Ndiaye
Founder & CEO
Biologist and entrepreneur with a BSc in Life Sciences and a Master’s in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the University of Luxembourg. Astou founded Hale-X after experiencing first-hand how fragmented medical data can hide the full patient picture. She leads the company’s vision, strategy, partnerships and financing.
Vânia Cecchini
Co-founder & Chief Scientific Officer
Biologist trained in laboratory science and computational biomedicine, with a Master’s from the University of Luxembourg. Vânia leads Hale-X’s scientific architecture, biological modelling and validation methodology, turning complex patient data into testable, evidence-linked representations.
Hugo Durand-Bombette
Technical Lead
Software engineer and hands-on engineering leader with experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure and high-performance technical computing. At Hale-X, Hugo leads platform architecture and delivery, translating multimodal clinical requirements into reliable, scalable software foundations.
Dr. Catarina Oliveira
Scientific & Clinical Research Advisor
Regenerative biologist with more than a decade of research on cellular senescence, tissue repair and limb regeneration. A lead author of peer-reviewed work from TU Dresden and trained in clinical-trial design, Catarina advises Hale-X on study design, biological interpretation and the path from research methodology to clinical validation.

Over more than two decades at the University, Eric has held senior leadership roles spanning research, administration, technology transfer and fundraising, including nearly five years as Vice-President for Academic Affairs. He advises Hale-X on scientific strategy, institutional development and partnerships.

He partners with Hale-X on longitudinal patient context, biomarker interpretation and how patient-level models can remain clinically useful, human and actionable.
