- Consider energy efficiency, regional infrastructure and credible environmental practices when selecting material technology suppliers.
- Extend the useful life of equipment through responsible purchasing, maintenance, reuse and approved recycling channels.
- Prefer remote collaboration and lower-impact travel options when they meet operational, clinical and security needs.
- Reduce avoidable paper, packaging and office waste.
3. Responsible digital development
Healthcare technology must balance performance, resilience, security and environmental cost. Hale-X considers data minimisation, fit-for-purpose model selection, efficient testing and controlled retention part of responsible engineering.
4. Suppliers and partners
Environmental considerations form part of supplier and infrastructure decisions alongside security, privacy, clinical suitability, sovereignty, reliability and cost. We encourage partners to provide credible information about their environmental practices.
5. Transparency and review
We do not publish environmental performance claims unless they are supported by an appropriate method and evidence. Hale-X will review this policy as its operational footprint becomes more measurable and will introduce targets when a reliable baseline is available.
